Phuket island (Kho - Phu - Ket)
Phuket
is one of the southern provinces of Thailand and known as
‘Andaman’s Pearl’. This is the biggest
island of Thailand located in the Andaman Sea off southern
Thailand. The island is mostly mountainous with a mountain
range in the west of the island from the north to the south.
There is an area of 543 km² with 48.7 kilometres long
from north to south and 21.3 kilometres wide from east to
west. Phuket was separated as 3 Amphur; Amphur Muang, Amphur
Ta Lang, and Amphur Ka Too.
Weather and Climate
Phuket has a tropical monsoon climate. It's
warm all year but the hottest periods are April-May and September-October.
June-August is the best period for tourism because the weather
is usually fine. The temperatures range between 20ºC
to 33ºC.
