Andaman Sea
Andaman Sea is a name of sea in the southeast
of the Bengal Bay, which is a part of Indian Ocean. Andaman
is approximately 1200 kilometres long from north to south
and 650 kilometres wide from east to west, with an area of
797,700 km². The depth is average as 870 meters, and
the maximum depth is 3,777 meters.
Gulf of Thailand
Gulf of Thailand is in the Pacific Ocean,
bordered by Thailand, Malaysia, Combodia and Vietnam. The
northernmost part of gulf is the Bay of Bangkok. The gulf
covers around 320,000 km². The boundary of the gulf is
defined by the line from Cape Bai Bung in southern Vietnam
to the Kota Baru city on the coast of Malaysia.
The gulf depth is 45 m, and the maximum depth only 80 m. The
main rivers which empty into the gulf are the Chao Phraya,
Mae Klong and Bang Pa Kong Rivers at the Bay of Bangkok, and
to a lesser degree the Tapi River into Bandon Bay in the southwest
of the gulf.
The Gulf of Thailand has the tropical warmth which harbors
many kind of coral reefs. The center of diving tourism is
Ko Samui and Ko Tao Island in the Surat Thani province of
Thailand.
